I would definitely do this adventure again! Daniella, Miguel and their team did a great job guiding the snorkel tour. We saw an amazing variety of sea life, including a yellow stingray, blue tangs, and a curious barracuda. It was really fun and Miguel explained the coral formations so we knew what we were looking at. Thanks, guys!
If you want to have close encounters with the reef’s marine life they know how to do it!!!

Frieda, Daniella, Mario and the whole group were amazing! They took extreme care of the reef and the marine life around it. You could tell that this was not about a job but more about showing you how beautiful this ecosystem is. They also took time to make sure that each and everyone on the tour got to see all of the highlights such as a shark, stingray, barracuda, lobster and starfish. Thanks for a most memorable time!

Transportation arrived on time for pick-up, we were in the Cancun hotel zone. They called shortly after we reserved through Viator to confirm pickup time which was helpful. Very well organized, committed to reef education and preservation, friendly and helpful. There were a couple of people on the tour who had never snorkeled or swam in the ocean before, and Mike our guide had them hold onto a life ring and pulled them to the reef on the tour which was super sweet of him. They had to cancel the tour after ours because of a big rain storm, so make sure to consider the weather when you book. Due to reef protection restrictions you cannot bring anything into the water with you including cameras. They have a trained and licensed photographer who is wonderful, stick with her to get good pictures they are worth the money. They transfer to your phone on the spot, super easy. Lunch was 3 tacos, good for the price of included with tour. Tequila tasting also included, we obstained but fun for others. All in all, huge value for what you pay. Bring $10 for the locker deposit, you'll get it back if you don't lose your key. Bring a dry bag for the boat! and cash for tips because they deserve it :)

Frida and her team were great! Super sweet people and competent in their roles. Everything went smoothly from start to finish and the reef and marine life were gorgeous. The guides in the water made sure we spent plenty of time Snorkeling in the most beautiful areas and kept an eye on us to be sure we we safe. The young man taking the underwater pictures did an amazing job and I was glad that was an option to purchase after. The Tequila tasting at the end was fun and informative, and the tacos we had afterwards (included in the tour) at the restaurant across the way were tasty! I would definitely do this tour again, highly recommended!

The entire experience was very professional, from the driver who picked us up through to the delicious lunch served and the return back to PDC. This was an enjoyable way to spend half a day in the water safely visiting the marine national park. Our main snorkeling guides Mike & Frida brought us to much beauty along the reef! We saw eagle rays, gorgeous brain coral, and teeny tiny creatures they carefully brought up for us to see. It was choppy out there with the strong wind, but they kept us all very safe with extra care to those who were first time snorkelers. They had additional guides in the water (I didn't catch their names) who watched over us too. Notable call-outs: they took a lot of care to make sure we didn't damage the reef, they are training more female guides for the future and also doing local community training, like the photographer, to make this good for the community. The photos were great & there was no pressure to buy/upsell anything. I'm already thinking about doing this again to see more of the reef.

Our guide Frida was knowledgeable, patient, and easy to understand. She pointed out lots of things along the way most of us would have missed. It was just my husband and me, and another couple, so a small group which made it even better. The weather was a little rainy and the wind picked up, but Frida kept an eye on all of us and kept us safe and where we needed to be. The photographer Christopher was literally swimming laps around all of us getting as many wonderful photos as possible. (To purchase the photos afterwards it was an additional $50, but totally worth it.) You aren’t allowed to bring your own camera, but having your own photographer is even better. We got 66 great photos airdropped directly to our phones after payment. We were in the afternoon tour and still got out light lunch afterwards. The fish tacos were delicious. We also got a history lesson and tasting of a variety of tequilas free with the trip and the gentleman presenting that to us was great. Not pushy at all and so much fun to basically hang out with for a bit and have some little shots! We also got some time to check out some of the shops in town and they arranged early transportation for us since we finished sooner than expected since we were in a smaller group. The driver was also great. We had the same driver both ways and he played fun music and goofed around singing along the way. Overall a wonderful experience. Saw so many great things and the whole thing went very smoothly. This was the first time either of us have been snorkeling and will definitely do it again. Highly recommend this team. They did a great job.

Short and sweet trip, doesnt take up your whole day and you get to see this beautiful town of Puerto Morelos afterwards, includes hotel pick up which is awesome, and the staff at Extreme Adventuring feels like family!

Well organized, surprise tequila tasting event and plenty of shopping time at low pressure stores. Freida was an outstanding guide in the water and very knowledgeable. We felt safe and looked after. Really a highlight of our trip to Cancun.

Frida, Mario, and Joyel were excellent guides. We saw some amazing things and even saw a nurse shark! This was a fun tour. The only thing I did not like is that we were required to wear life jackets. The life jackets were very uncomfortable because I do not like the feeling of being squeezed underwater. Also, we had a GoPro with a floating handle that we were not allowed to use because of "regulations" that dictate that we cannot drop the GoPro into the reef. The GoPro cannot fall into the reef at all because the handle it was attached to floats in water.
I understand that these are regulations likely enforced by the government, so they are out of the hands of our tour guides. Our tour guides were amazing people. They did a great job and took care to make sure we had a fun time in the water!

We loved this activity! Everything was as described on tripadvisor, and we’re glad we went, especially for the price.
Our main complaint was that the trip (Tuesday afternoon) had too many other people.
The shuttle from hotel to the snorkeling shop was cramped. Arrived late, and the bus was packed. Thankfully we were one of the last pickup spots. It wasn’t a big deal, but wasn’t comfortable.
Once we arrived, we did have to wait for 30-45 minutes for the rest of the snorkeling group to arrive. However, we waited in a cute, comfortable, breezy patio with chairs, tables, and beer.
They do provide lockers, and other reviews said they cost money, but it’s actually just a deposit. You get your $10 back after returning the key.
The boat was more crowded than the shuttle! I’m still surprised everyone fit onto the boat. I don’t remember, but I’m guessing we had about 30 people. The boat ride was quick (<10 min), and we got right in the water. We were told to stay together as a group, so it was also crowded in the water—easy to run into people.
But! It was cheap and it was fun. The reef is super shallow, so we didn’t even need contact lenses to see the fish and coral. We saw lots of reef fish, small and large. After about an hour of snorkeling in one location, we got back on the boat and went to shore.
After a few minutes to shower and dry off (and an optional, free tequila tasting), we went to the restaurant for lunch. It was absolutely lovely. We sat under a palapa right over the beautiful, turquoise water, in a quiet restaurant. My girlfriend has celiac disease, and the tacos they prepared for her were safe and gluten free. We had a choice of chicken, veggie, or fish.
We did end up buying the photos—it was actually nice to not have to struggle with the underwater photography, even though the photos are a little pricey.
Frieda came to let us know when we had 30 minutes left before our shuttle arrived. On the way back to the hotel, the shuttle was empty except for us, which was a nice surprise.
Everyone was kind and fun and helpful. It was a great way to spend half the day.
