About this activity

Unlock the mysteries of the Mayans with a full-day exploration of Chichén Itzá and Valladolid. We’ll stop by the charming town of Valladolid, a colonial town where you would have time to walk around and take some pictures of its main square and the baroque San Gervasio Cathedral We’ll arrive early to the UNESCO World Heritage site, learning the secrets and history of the pre-Columbian city while marveling at the Pyramid of Kukulcan. Follow your guide around Chichén Itzá, one of the main archaeological sites of Yucatan’s peninsula. No visit to the area would be complete without a stop by a cenote, a refreshing, enchanting underground sinkhole. After a refreshing swim, we’ll enjoy an authentic Mexican buffet and tequila tasting. For a tour that’s as filled with incredible Mayan history as it is adventure, authentic food, and plenty of activities, book your Chichén Itzá Mayan adventure with us today.

Great guide and experience

Great experience, we highly recommend! Chichen Itza and the Sacred Cenote are really beautiful and something you should see. However, the best part of the trip was the guide, David. Very knowledgeable, patient, and funny, and his enthusiasm is unparalleled. Graciás David for a great trip, wish you all the very best.

Excellent tour

The tour was excellent. It had everything I expected and more. The tour guide Frank was friendly, approachable and informative and the driver Raoul drove us very well all day. The coach had AC and a toilet. Frank and another English-speaking guide (Mariella?) who met us at Chichen Itza have Mayan heritage and could give us real insight into the culture. Chichen Itza was well worth the visit. It is very hot there, even hotter than the coast, so I appreciated that the tour got us there early in the day and before the crowds arrived. The second stop at the Mayan restaurant had a delicious buffet. The third stop was to swim in the cenote and was a wonderful experience. The final stop was in a colonial town called Valladolid which was a sweet place and perfect for a few final photos. Overall it was an action packed day and well worth it. The Amigos tour was more than half the price than Tui advertised but we couldn't have asked for a better tour thanks to Frank and Raoul and the other drivers who collected us from our hotel. We appreciated that we got a bit of spare time in each area. It was very well organised and I would recommend it and the staff involved.
