What To Expect
Las Coloradas
Pick up from your Hotel to Las Coloradas (3-4 hrs transportation route). We will visit the magical place of las coloradas which will leave you amazed, due to the beauty it has. You can take incredible photos for your social networks. You will know the process of how salt is made, the harvest of the salt mines all this together with a native and certified guide.

Rio Lagartos
Two and a half hour boat ride through the Rio Lagartos Biosphere Reserve: visit to the exotic flora and fauna, flamingos, birds, mangroves and crocodiles. Finally, we will visit the natural habitat of the crocodiles where we can admire the largest colony of crocodiles that exists in the area.

I was a bit skeptical about booking this tour since there was only 1 review but I must say this tour ended up being the best tour I have taken in Mexico. The 3-hour drive was comfortable in an air-conditioned bus with around 50 people. Our driver was great and our guide Toledo did an amazing job. 1st stop was at Los colorados where we took some amazing pics, then we headed to rio lagartos to see the flamingos. Following that we made a quick stop to use the Mayan clay, which was optional, then we swam in the gulf of Mexico to rinse off. Lunch was provided shortly after and to add icing to the cake I got to feed a crocodile! This was one of the best tours and everything was executed efficiently and on time. I will definitely recommend this tour to family and friends!

Nice tour, even though it was an extremely long day! We were picked up from our hotel at 5:55am and got dropped off again at 9:00pm. So it was a super long day! That being said, it was very enjoyable and relaxing more than physical activity. The pink lakes were nice, but my favorite part was the speed boat ride in Rio Lagartos. I loved seeing the flamingos and crocodiles and pelicans! The lunch was also large! The crocodile experience was an unexpected fantastic surprise at the end of the day.
My tips for anyone on this tour. Bring lots of drinks and snacks for your time on the bus, since more than half your time will be on the bus. Thankfully the bus itself is very nice and airconditioned though! Bring extra cash for drinks, fees, and tips. I will say, we were only one of two English speaking groups on the tour. Arturo was absolutely amazing at translating for us, but do not expect a lot of hotel zone tourists the whole time! Knowing some spanish would be almost a requirement as some of the people we met only spoke spanish and it would have been harder to enjoy if I couldn't communicate at all. I highly recommend Arturo as a guide and overall enjoyed the tour!

All of it is spectacular! Must do! Pink lake is unbelievable, boat ride fun and crocodile experience is crazy! Can hold babies and feed adults up close.

We waited a while for our transportation to the tour to pick us up. Then once it arrived, the van that we traveled in was very crammed for the number of people that attended and it was very uncomfortable to be in for the many hrs we were in it, that’s why i took a point off but overall the tour itself was great. I enjoyed the sites that we visited. And our guide Jose was great.

I give 4 starts because the bus was FREEZING! I asked our tour guide to turn the air up a few times and he did. But eventually turned it back down! The ride from where we stayed ended up being 5 hours there and 6 back! My fingers were numb and I couldn’t feel my breast. Overall, the excursion. Was fun! The pics are deceiving, no one is really touching the pink water! If you book this excursion, TAKE A BLANKET, a towel or something!! & a change of clothes because the wet clothes were very uncomfortable for that long period of time! Eat before you go or you will not eat until lunch time which was about 3o clock!
Late pickup for an okay tour

The tour was nice experience overall, but there were many problems. First, my pickup time was assigned at 5:25am. Me and my brother were waiting in our hotel lobby at that time. After 10 minutes of no one picking us up, I messaged the company on Viator, messaged and called every Whatsapp number they gave me and got NO RESPONSE! Terrible customer service and terrible to make people wake up so early for no reason. We thought we were being scammed. Finally around 6am, a van finally came. The driver didn’t even say anything when opening the door for us, was just texting on his phone. I said what happened to the pickup time? He said there was traffic (there wasn’t). After the late pickup, we picked up more people who were annoyed at the lateness and then we all got dropped off on front of a random bank! THEN a bigger bus picked us up for our tour. Horrible communication, they never mentioned this plan- so me and my brother were just so confused all day. The salt mines were pink which was cool, but we barely got any time to hangout there. It was a very rushed experience. Then we went to the boat ride which was nice , but don’t expect to see flamingos up close. The restaurant was okay for lunch. Then the crocodile farm seemed to be really unethical. All the crocodiles were trapped in small spaces or cages which made everyone sad. They also tape their mouths shut for pictures. The staff on this tour was nice-but they sent me and my brother in a cab ALONE home from the bank we got picked up at! Very confusing itinerary with zero communications. Overall it was a nice experience but i would NOT do it again. It also says the day is 11-14 hours long. It was actually about 17 hours so if you book this tour make sure you get a lot of sleep. Very strange to mislead people with an inaccurate itinerary. Do this tour if you want to see Las Coloradas but be prepared for a long, confusing day. Hope this helps.

Los Colorados is not quite pink, more like a dirty orange lake.This was not very interesting as a tour spot, truly. Rios Lagartos is a small charming town but our tour was too short and advertised as 2hours in the boat tour for flamingos.Got maybe an hour/ 20 mins or so.Lunch was good, grilled fish with salsa.Breakfast was pitiful, with only a cheap sandwich of Bimbo bread and sliced meat.The mud bath was fun but didnt have the baby butt softness of skin effect as touted by the tour guide.CELESTUN in season was far more spectacular for flamingos and much longer boat ride.
