In Go Diving Cancun we have more than 20 years of experience teaching to dive in the Riviera Maya, let us share with you the underwater world of the Mexican Caribbean.
To make this activity fun and safe we specifically choose handle small groups. Our goal is simple, to make scuba diving in this beautiful area your most memorable vacation experience.

On this tour we are undoubtedly offering you more than the others since we provide you with 2 air tanks, which means that we do 2 dives visiting two different places. In addition we will not charge you any dock fee or additional tax to what you already see.

AMAZING DIVE!!

WOW. Let me just say I’ve been diving multiple times but this time I took my partner who has never been and Clemente did such an awesome and through job making him comfortable and making sure we felt good to dive. We practiced in a pool and then did both dives. I have done the Great Barrier Reef and in saying that I still saw more fish here where Clemente took us! His assistant is super sweet as well. There’s a reason they have such high ratings, DO this excursion I promise you won’t regret it. Hands. Down best thing we did in Cancun. I can’t rave enough about this dive!!!!!

Amazing experience. If you have any anxiety whatsoever about this, don't do it. My friend couldn't do it and ended up wasting her money and sitting on the boat the whole time. I loved it however and it was amazing to see everything.
Excellent First-time Diving Experience

Clemente Herrera E is a excellent guide. He really took time to teach us basic diving skills and made sure everyone was comfortable with all the equipment. He is really patient with first time divers. I was having hard time keeping myself floating at the bottom of the sea, and he hand-held me walking through the entire dive. The dive was exceptional. Lots of colourful fishes was schooling around the rifts. Highly recommended!

Clemente was an excellent teacher. I'm a certified diver, but my wife is not. He did such a great job of providing necessary information in a clear and reassuring way, so that she felt as confident as possible. He took extra time with her on the descent to the reef. She had a great time...as did everybody in the group. The dive sites are beautiful, with abundant coral & beautiful fish. The boat crew was great - very friendly and helpful!
Some advice...even if you don't think you need it, consider taking Dramamine before your trip. 3 of the 8 people we had along were *miserable*. I am VERY prone to seasickness, but since I took Dramamine, I was fine the whole time in spite of choppy water. Also, if you are even a little bit congested, you will have trouble with your ears...consider taking a decongestant because ear pain is no joke!
This is such a great experience...I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for an amazing adventure!

Clemente was our tour guide and he was professional, patient, knowledgeable and overall great. He not only took the time to explain the equipment, but also the sea life from the coral to the different types of fish. Overall, had a great experience and would definitely recommend to others who really are adventurous.

The beginning scuba class in Cancun Mexico was the highlight of my vacation trip. Clemente was a great dive instructor and you got your money's worth with two different Dives each lasting between 35 and 45 minutes

The training in the swimming pool was great. There was a bit of a gap between the training and going to the site which could have been less.
Then came the diving at the museum.
I enjoyed it a lot, but I had 2 feedback/notes.
1- i was very comfortable with "swimming" and also going up/down. Sometimes I had to go up to not hit another person/object, and the instructor with scold me for moving away. Don't get me wrong, I get and appreciate the importance of safety. I was going up like 1 meters, so I was fine. I think it would have been good to give a bit more flexibility. Again, I understand that they couldn't know if it was me being out of control, or intentionally moving away.
2- the ascent was too fast. The descenst was at a great pace, and we were allowed to descent at a pace we liked, but we went up too fast which was hard on my wife. I think we could have came up with a bit more flexibility, like some people in 20 seconds, while others in 40-60.

Was our 1 st time diving and found the intro/pool training was very comprehensive and made us comfortable for the actual dives. Both dives were long enough to get 2 very different experiences that were both excellent. Nice small group so you felt safe with good attention. We paid for the videos of us and was worth while…. better than trying to do it yourself. I would definitely recommend as was an awesome experience!

Solid dive experience. The instructors and boating staff were very helpful. We were lucky, saw a sea turtle, Baracoda, and swam through a coral tunnel.

This crew and the entire experience was amazing. The dive masters, Rahul and Clemente are great trainers and give the people a lot of good instructions. They are also very patient and give the divers time to exercise the points that they go over with in the pool. They won’t rush you in the ocean which gives you time to relax and enjoy.
The ocean is amazing with packs of colorful fish, reefs and also turtles.

This was such a great experience!
We had a party of 6, mom, dad and 4 teens (14-17 years old). We arrived a little after 10 and were greeted and seated in a nice shady area. We filled out some simple waivers and were fitted for fins. Two others joined our group and then we went through about a half hour lesson on land, before getting in the pool for another 40-50 minute lesson in the pool.
I am a confident swimmer and love the water, so I was surprised that I really didn’t handle going underwater with the regulator very well. I couldn’t handle going under for more than a couple breaths without panicking. I was very worried that I wouldn’t be able to do it, but Clemente and Gabby were SO great! Within 10-15 minutes we were all swimming confidently around the pool!
We were out of the pool around noon and had about a 50 minute wait until the boat went out. We were able to get a snack (bring a very lite lunch/snack with you and the motion sickness medication!) and use the bathroom and sit around the hotel pool. We had a beautiful 30 minute ride out to the dive site.
Clemente and Gabby took the teens in first. I was waiting in the boat when my 16 year old was trying to go down and was really struggling, she gave me the panicked, “this isn’t happening look” but Gabby was so patient and encouraging and finally got our group down and scuba diving! And it really was amazing!!
It took a bit of time to get everyone in the first dive, so we didn’t get a lot of time to look at the sculpture garden. I really liked it and would have like to spend more time there. The second dive went much quicker as we had the experience going down and only 4 divers. We were able to spend longer looking at the coral reef.
Once we were all done diving and in the boat, the guides are all busy taking care of all the equipment. You can sit back and enjoy the ride back. They do offer water after each dive and some individual packs of cookies or crackers after the 2nd dive.
We all loved this experience and were so impressed with the instructors. There’s a reason they have such good reviews!
Other details….
-we went mid-December on a 85 degree day and definitely did not need a wetsuit
-One of the other people were not able to dive even after Clemente and Gabby really tried to help her. The woman was able to snorkel while we were out and she did try again on the second dive but still couldn’t.
-only 4 (out of 8) went on the second dive. I had 2 kids that loved it, but didn’t want to go down again. One had too much pressure in their ears during the first dive and one was just exhausted.
-8 out of 8 of us were quite miserable on the boat ride home. Not sure if it’s the pressure changes, or motion sickness, but there was a bit of puking, and it’s was a very quiet boat ride home. I suggest you bring another snack for afterwards. Once we were back in land we sat in the shaded area, where we started, for awhile while people took turns changing and we recovered from our motion sickness.
