There may be many sites to see in the world and many adventures on your to-do list, yet none of them compare to the Cancun Underwater Museum.
Over 500 sculptures make up the Cancun Underwater Museum, known as MUSA. MUSA can only be called a success story, as still to this day the artificial reef it created has benefited our reefs and marine ecosystem.
Besides the art, marine life is present too -you'll find a diversity of fish, turtles and the spectacular elkhorn coral.
Swim through the coral covered statues with the fish banks! There's a lot to see and learn here, you'll enjoy yourself like no other with this adventure that has slowly become the number one in any "Cancun Diving Tours" list.
Fun fact: Aquaworld was proud to take part in this project and supplied the boats used to transport and sink the statues as well as the manpower needed to do so.

GREAT Scuba diving experience

It was my first time diving in the Caribbean and it was amazing! I have done all my diving training at a freshwater setting so I was shocked when I saw so many fishes surrounded me as I was sinking to the bottom. It's like watching a National Geographic documentary but you are actually in the documentary! Hard to put my emotions into word but the whole experience was amazing. It's definitely putting all the hours into the scuba lessons before going to Cancun!
As to Aquaworld, I have nothing but praises for them. The people who worked there were very friendly and professional. The registration process was straightforward. All the equipments (BCD, tanks) were set up for us by the staff before our dive.

Great Boat team for SCUBA

This was a great dive. I was a little off put by the shore staff who were none-the-less efficient and professional (can’t quite put my finger on it), but the boat team were amazing! Our lead switched us to two reef dives as we had already dropped in on the museum. It was friendly and very well organised with lots of help at the appropriate level. Highly recommended.

I had an amazing time! I’m still building up my experience after getting open water certified last year. Oscar, my instructor, was very helpful and patient throughout the whole experience. He helped me become a better diver by the end of it. On the dive itself, we saw some amazing sculptures, a variety of marine life like barracuda, puffer, stingrays and a turtle to cap it off. Thank you Oscar and to the whole squad 3!

Amazing dives! Really enjoyed everything. The staff is excellente! Oscar was my dive master and guide. Oscar is the man and a fantastic guide. Highly recommend. Will certainly use them again when I visit Cancun again. Muchas Gracias!

We had an amazing dive experience in Cancun. The boat captain and staff were great and the master divers were very attentive. They did everything for us and took us on 2 amazing dives. The photographer took some brilliant pictures which are available after the dive. Have never dived with such helpful staff before.

My husband and I went down to Mexico for our honeymoon. We decided to get our PADI certification and went through AquaWorld from our resort. We couldn't have been happier. For our open water dives Valentine was our instructor and he was GREAT! He was so knowledgeable and really was a fantastic instructor. The staff of the boat were also very helpful and made for a great enjoyable time! We can't wait to make another trip back!

Overall great experience, thanks so much to Oscar and Gabriel for making our dives great. The reef and museum were beautiful and great dives overall.

The whole Aqua world Diving experience is Wonderful. Jorge, Sammy from Miami and Jerry explained exactly how it would all work, Jorge is an amazing instructor. His attention to detail and his passion for teaching and his way of explaining how the whole process works, just spot on. Then on the dive tour, The whole group from captain all the master divers, everyone on the Charter, they just make the whole experience so welcoming and enjoyable. There is no way to explain how well they run the operation. Their attention to detail, safety and making sure you are comfortable. They made my wife and 11 yr old son feel so safe about diving. The dive leader of team 3 spent extra time with them both to make them confident about the dives. We were able to see Octopus, Sand sharks, spiny Lobster, Eels, Sting Ray, thousands of colorful fish, along with the statues. To top it off my boy found a pair of raybans on the ocean floor and when I climbed onto the deck he was wearing them and he had a smile like he found a pot of gold. Priceless!!!

From the training to the boat ride to the two stunning dives, this experience is one you will remember your whole life! So good that we will now make sure we can do something similar on our next holiday.

The instructors were very kind and helpful. This was our first dive after becoming certified and they helped us feel confident by being right by our side. The water was pretty choppy and three out of the four of us puked, but maybe next time we should take Dramamine before the boat ride.

The dive was excellent. The boat staff was profession and well-organized, but kept an easy going vibe—I very much got the feel that a good dive experience was their top priority. Valentine was an excellent dive master and we got two great dives in. I like this particular trip is for divers and snorkelers so our entire party could do something together, even though only some of us were certified.
I have less kind works for the dock-side staff, if I rated them alone, it would be 2 stars. While we were prepping to board, one of the staff told us we could not use any sunscreen on the trip, even the reef-safe sunscreen I just bought in their dive shop (and confirmed was OK to use with their store personnel). The result of 4 hours of being in the sun without protection is was a horrendous sun burn for my wife, who, as a snorkeler, was on the top deck of the boat and above the water the whole time.
Aquaworld either has a training issue with their personnel or they need to make more clear disclosures when trips are booked that no sunscreen of any kind is permitted and allow folks to make alternate arrangements for sun protection.
